Engaging with plants can have a calming effect and relieve anxiety and stress. Many community programs are established based on a specific nature conservation initiative, such as turtle conservation or national forest conservation. The act of caring for something bigger than yourself can foster a sense of pride, achievement, and a sense that you are working for the greater good while caring for nature and contributing to the community and people can effectively reduce social problems such as anger, stress, and anxiety!4 Adventure therapy Joining any activity in nature, such as rafting, canoeing, hiking, or skiing, is adventure therapy. These can be done on your own, but are more effective when done together with a therapist. You can analyze why and how the activity works if you are with a therapist.
