People with ADHD are Supported by the Community. I live in Seattle, and there is a community that offers support for those with ADHD symptoms. The organization 13Symptom differences between children and adults with ADHD Although their symptoms frequently differ, adults with ADHD still struggle with the same underlying issues of impulsivity and attention as children do. Since ADHD children have fewer social constraints governing their behavior, symptoms such as excessive talking, fidgeting, hyperactivity, interrupting and intruding on others are typically more noticeable in these children. Due to their increased maturity and social conditioning, adults with ADHD are likely to exhibit greater self-control, but the underlying restlessness still exists and may be redirected into behaviors such as thrill-seeking, drug and alcohol abuse, reckless driving, running afoul of the law, excessive spending, and other socially unacceptable behaviors. The number of people living with ADHD is increasing every year in US. The major challenge is how to enhance social understanding and establish support systems. In Japan, it would be easier to live with ADHD if more communities around us can be a source of emotional Summaryis called CHADD, and it has branches across the US. It is dedicated to offering connections and support for individuals with ADHD of all ages and their caregivers.
