Conclusion: What Can Be Considered from Taiwan's Case For the younger generation and others who will become the bearers of the social security system, a perspective of reframing the insurance premiums they pay not just as a "cost" but as an "investment" in creating better future healthcare is also important. Taiwan's case seems to suggest the importance of the public taking an interest in system design itself and voicing constructive opinions. Fortunately, there are signs of change in Japan as well, such as the establishment of the "Headquarters for the Promotion of Medical DX" in 2022 and the start of full-scale discussions toward the creation of a nationwide medical information platform. The future of healthcare is an important issue for all citizens. It is hoped that this report will serve as a catalyst for thinking proactively about the future of the healthcare system. Taiwan's case offers two important perspectives for considering the future of healthcare in Japan. First is the influence of a unified digital infrastructure. Taiwan's NHI IC card and cloud system not only make healthcare more efficient but also function as a national strategic infrastructure that can trigger the creation of new industries from the public's health data. If data is likened to the oil of the 21st century, it can be said that Taiwan is making advanced efforts in its utilization. Second is the importance of a national vision and leadership looking to the future. Taiwan's medical DX has been promoted top-down under centralized governance and a clear roadmap. The importance of political leadership in overcoming complex stakeholder coordination and advancing reforms for the benefit of society as a whole can be observed Of course, Taiwan's system is not without its flaws, and it faces serious challenges such as fiscal pressure and labor environment issues. However, there may be much to learn from its advanced initiatives.11
